2021 GMC Acadia

Five different trim levels are included on the 2021 GMC Acadia. The base trim level is the SL which is followed up by the SLE, SLT, AT4, and finally the Denali. The two lower trim levels on the Acadia feature 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, and turn signal indicators in the side mirrors. Other features such as a roof rack, fog lamps for added visibility, and a power liftgate become available starting with the SLT.

The AT4 trim has a reduced wheel size of 17 inches, however, it does come with all-terrain tires and a glossy black rim finish. This trim level is adorned with dark chrome embellishments. The Denali trim adds a few other nice touches such as power-folding mirrors.

Three different engine configurations are available on the 2021 Acadia. These engines are tied to trim level selection, with the most powerful engines being reserved for the highest trim levels. The SL and SLE front-wheel-drive trims feature a straight-four engine with a total output of 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. The SLE all-wheel drive and SLT trims include a straight-four engine with an output of 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The two highest trim levels feature a V-6 with a much higher output of 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque.

The 2021 GMC Acadia boasts several impressive performance features. All five trims feature a nine-speed automatic transmission. The SL is equipped with front-wheel drive only while the AT4 is only equipped with all-wheel drive. All other trim levels feature options for either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. When properly equipped, the Acadia can tow up to 4,000 pounds.

There are three rows of seating available with a maximum seating capacity for seven passengers. Seating configurations allow for two rows of bucket seats with bench seating in the back. Features like three-zone climate control allow all passengers to ride in comfort regardless of what other passengers' temperature preferences are. Entertainment features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the ability to create a Wi-Fi hot spot.

Many of these features are accessed through a modern and beautiful eight-inch touch-screen display. Higher trim levels add more comfort features such as ventilated seats, driver setting memory, heated second-row seats, and wireless device charging capabilities.

A wide range of excellent safety features are available on the 2021 GMC Acadia. Driver assistance availability is broken up into two groups. The SL and SLT trims include blind spot monitors and rear crossing traffic alerts. Starting with the SLT and up, more driver assistance features, such as forward collision detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high beams, are included.
